The short answer

If you research competitors on Meta and want only the ads that already have money behind them, the GetHookd alternative to try is Ad Radar: every ad on the board has an estimated $50k or more in spend, ten tags and Claude access, from $49 every 4 weeks.

If you want a team swipe file that also saves from TikTok and LinkedIn, look at Foreplay or, on a smaller budget, Swipekit. If you also want analytics on your own ad accounts, Atria. If your research runs on text, comments and affiliate offers, AdSpy. And if you only need a first look, the Meta Ad Library is free.

Six GetHookd alternatives, compared

  1. Ad Radar

Best for: proven Meta adsFrom $49 / 4 weeksMeta

A filtered board instead of a big library: only Meta ads with an estimated spend of $50k or more, each tagged on ten dimensions (hook pattern, hook mechanism, narrative angle, awareness, proof, production format, video type, landing page type, niche and CTA). One search box covers headlines, body copy and video transcripts. You can follow any brand by pasting its Meta Ad Library link and get an alert when one of its ads turns into a winner. The MCP server is included in Membership, so Claude can search the board and write a brief. Its Chrome extension, free to install and included with the membership, saves any ad from the Meta Ad Library into your boards. Agency is $199 every 4 weeks with 25 client workspaces, 5 seats, a client portal and white-label. It doesn't have store data or static ad cloning, and it covers Meta only. Read Ad Radar vs GetHookd.

  2. Foreplay

Best for: a team swipe fileFrom $59/monthMeta, TikTok, LinkedIn

A swipe file and research platform with a 200M+ ad library, unlimited saves, a Chrome extension, a mobile app and Briefs. Basic is $59 a month ($49 billed annually) for one user, per its pricing page. Competitor tracking (Spyder), creative analytics (Lens) and MCP and API access start on Workflow at $175 a month with 5 users. 7-day trial, card required.

  3. Atria

Best for: research plus analyticsCore from $129/monthMeta, TikTok

An all-in-one creative platform: an ad library with longest-running sort, brand following, analytics on your own ad accounts with an AI strategist, and AI concepts, scripts, copy and images. Core is $129 a month billed annually with 5 seats, 50 followed brands and 600 MCP calls a month, per its pricing page. It does more than GetHookd and costs more; pick it if you want your own ad data in the same tool.

  4. Swipekit

Best for: saving from many platformsFrom $26/monthMeta, TikTok, LinkedIn

A swipe file and brand tracker that saves from the Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn ad libraries and from organic content. Basic is $26 a month with 5 seats and 5 tracked brands, and API and MCP access are on every plan, per its pricing page. 14-day free trial, no card. It is the cheapest way here to get a shared swipe file with AI access.

  5. AdSpy

Best for: text and affiliate search$149/monthFacebook, Instagram

One plan at $149 a month with what adspy.com calls virtually unlimited usage. It claims 212 million+ ads from 30 million+ advertisers in 88 languages, and its strength is search: ad text, advertiser, URL, page name, comments, affiliate network and ID, offer ID and landing page technology, with location, age and gender filters. The best choice here for affiliate marketers. Read AdSpy vs Ad Radar.

  6. Meta Ad Library

Best for: a free first lookFreeMeta

Meta's own public library, and the source GetHookd and Ad Radar both build on. You can search any advertiser and see every active ad on Facebook and Instagram. It doesn't rank ads, tag them or tell you how long a brand has been scaling one, so you do that part by hand. Our guide on how to use the Meta Ad Library covers the filters that help.

GetHookd pricing in October 2026

Before you switch, check what you would leave. On October 12, 2026, gethookd.ai showed visitors one of two price lists: one with the four plans below, one without Starter. Every plan searches the same 22 million live ads; the tiers change seats, credits and AI access.

PlanMonthlyBilled yearlySeatsCreditsAPI and MCP
Starter (one price list only)$29$19/month150/monthYearly billing only
Pro$49$32/month3150/monthYearly billing only
Team$79$52/month5400/monthIncluded
Agency$129$83/month10800/monthIncluded

Searching and browsing the library don't use credits; actions such as Clone Ads, transcription and video scripts do. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial for $0, and GetHookd says that if you cancel before it ends you are not charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal.

For comparison, Ad Radar Membership is $49 every 4 weeks at the launch price (list $99), with the MCP server included and one seat. Billing every 4 weeks means 13 charges a year.

Does GetHookd have an MCP server?

Yes. GetHookd connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and Perplexity by pasting one line into the assistant. The catch is the plan: API and MCP access is included with every annual plan and with Team and Agency billed monthly. Starter and Pro billed monthly don't include it, and GetHookd's own FAQ says that if the AI connection is the reason you are signing up, start on Team.

If AI access is what you are after, here is where each alternative puts it:

  • Ad Radar: MCP server included in Membership at $49 every 4 weeks. It works in Claude on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, and you sign in and approve instead of copying a token. See a full Claude research session.
  • Swipekit: API and MCP on every plan, from $26 a month.
  • Atria: MCP on every plan, 600 calls a month on Core and unlimited from Plus.
  • Foreplay: MCP and API from Workflow at $175 a month.

GetHookd works with more assistants than Ad Radar does. If your team lives in ChatGPT or Gemini rather than Claude, that matters.

GetHookd reviews

On Trustpilot, GetHookd had a TrustScore of 4.1 out of 5 from 22 reviews when we checked on October 12, 2026 (source). That is a small sample, so treat it as a hint, not a verdict. The better test is the trial: GetHookd's FAQ suggests searching your own niche during the 7 days and cancelling if the coverage isn't there. It also says coverage is thinnest in smaller countries and in service or info niches, and that its Chrome extension is the fix for brands it doesn't track yet.

Is GetHookd worth it?

For many teams, yes. It is a good fit if you want:

  • The whole live library. 22 million active Meta ads, refreshed daily, with days running and ads per brand.
  • Store data. Its Shops section lists over 144,000 Shopify stores with traffic, growth and best sellers next to their ads.
  • Static variations. Clone Ads turns a winner into new statics. Ad Radar's equivalent, clone to my brand, is still on its roadmap.
  • Several AI clients. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and Perplexity.

It fits less well if you want a spend figure on each ad (GetHookd says it doesn't estimate spend), TikTok ads (its FAQ says TikTok isn't in there today), or a board that hides everything below a spend threshold so you start from proven ads.

Why teams look for a GetHookd alternative

  • They want to know where the money is. Days running and live status are honest signals, but they don't separate a $5k test from a $500k winner. On our board, which keeps only ads at $50k or more in estimated spend, the median ad sits at $223K (2,443 ads from 749 brands, snapshot of October 9, 2026). More on how estimates work in how to estimate a competitor's Meta ad spend.
  • The AI connection moved them up a plan. On monthly billing, MCP starts on Team at $79.
  • They work on more than Meta. Foreplay, Swipekit and Atria all reach beyond Facebook and Instagram.
  • Credits. Browsing is free, but cloning and transcription draw from a monthly allowance.

How to choose a GetHookd alternative

Start from the question you answer every week. Which competitor ads are working on Meta: Ad Radar, or GetHookd itself. Where does the team keep what it saves: Foreplay or Swipekit. Which of our own ads work: Atria. Who is promoting this affiliate offer: AdSpy. If you need TikTok, YouTube and Google ads in one search, BigSpy covers them from its Growth plan at $159 a month, per its pricing page.

Then run the same test on two tools: pick three competitors, search them in both during the trial week, and keep the one that answered faster. Our comparison of nine ad spy tools has the wider field.

Questions

What is the best GetHookd alternative?

It depends on the job. For only the Meta ads that are already winning, with estimated spend and Claude access, Ad Radar. For a team swipe file across Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn, Foreplay or Swipekit. For research plus analytics on your own ad accounts, Atria. For text, comment and affiliate search, AdSpy.

How much does GetHookd cost?

On October 12, 2026, GetHookd showed visitors one of two price lists. Both had Pro at $49 a month ($32 billed yearly) with 3 seats, Team at $79 ($52 yearly) with 5 seats, and Agency at $129 ($83 yearly) with 10 seats; one also had Starter at $29 ($19 yearly) with 1 seat. Every plan has the same library and a 7-day trial for $0.

Does GetHookd have an MCP server?

Yes. GetHookd connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and Perplexity. API and MCP access is included with every annual plan and with the Team and Agency monthly plans. Starter and Pro billed monthly do not include it.

Is GetHookd worth it?

It is a good fit if you want a large live Meta library, Shopify store data, static ad variations and AI access from several assistants. It fits less well if you want spend estimates, TikTok coverage or a board that only shows proven ads.

Is there a free GetHookd alternative?

The Meta Ad Library is free and shows every active ad for any advertiser, without ranking or tags. For paid tools, the cheapest way to test is a trial: GetHookd offers 7 days for $0, Swipekit 14 days with no card, and Foreplay 7 days with a card. Atria also has a permanent free plan with one ad account and one brand.

Does GetHookd estimate ad spend?

No. GetHookd states that it shows only what is observable in the public ad library and does not estimate spend. Ad Radar takes the other route: it shows an estimated spend on every ad, labeled as an estimate, and keeps only ads at $50k or more.

From the Ad Radar blog, written from a board of Meta ads with $50k+ in estimated spend.
