Comparison
Ad Radar vs GetHookd
GetHookd is a Meta ad library with 22M+ live ads, brand tracking, Shopify store data and AI-made static variations. Ad Radar is a smaller, filtered board: only Meta ads with an estimated spend of $50k or more, each tagged ten ways.
The short answer
Pick Ad Radar if
- You only want ads with an estimated $50k or more behind them, not 22 million to filter.
- You want a spend estimate on every ad, clearly labeled as one.
- You want ten fixed tags to filter by hook, angle, awareness and format.
- You run an agency and need client workspaces, client approvals and white-label.
Pick GetHookd if
- You prefer only numbers you can see in the public ad library, with no spend estimates.
- You want AI-made static variations of a winning ad (Clone Ads).
- You want Shopify store traffic and growth next to the ads.
- You want a cheaper entry plan, or to connect ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor or Perplexity as well as Claude.

Estimated spend or observable signals
GetHookd says plainly that it does not estimate spend: it shows what anyone can observe in the public ad library, such as which ads are live, how long each has run and how many a brand has running. That is a fair choice, and every answer links back to the source ad.
Ad Radar makes the other choice. It models each ad's spend from engagement snapshots stored over time, labels the number as an estimate, and uses it to keep only ads at $50k or more. The winner score also weighs days live and variants launched.
If you want raw, observable signals and your own judgment, GetHookd's approach fits. If you want the board filtered down to ads with money behind them before you open it, Ad Radar's does.
Ten tags on every ad
Every ad on Ad Radar carries the same ten tags: hook pattern, hook mechanism, narrative angle, reader awareness, proof level, production format, video type, landing page type, niche and CTA type. The tags are fixed, so a filter means the same thing across every brand, and you can stack them: problem-aware, UGC selfie, statistic opener.
GetHookd filters the library by niche, format, runtime and performance, and its AI answers come back with hooks and angles pulled from the ads.
AI in the chat
Both connect to AI assistants. GetHookd works with more of them (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and Perplexity) and its FAQ points AI users to the Team plan at $79 a month; Starter and Pro get it only on yearly billing.
Ad Radar's MCP server is included in the $49 Membership and works in Claude Code and Claude Desktop. Claude can search the board, read a brand's hook mix, find the patterns that win more often and write a swipe brief. See how the MCP server works.
Price
GetHookd starts lower: Starter is $29 a month ($19 billed yearly) for one seat, and Pro is $49 a month ($32 billed yearly) for three seats. Actions such as Clone Ads and transcription use monthly credits.
Ad Radar Membership is $49 every 4 weeks at the launch price (list $99) for one seat, with MCP access included. Agency is $199 every 4 weeks with 5 seats, 25 client workspaces, a client portal and white-label sharing.
Where GetHookd is better
- Lower entry price: $19 a month billed yearly, and 3 seats on Pro.
- A much bigger library: 22M+ live Meta ads, refreshed daily.
- Clone Ads turns a winner into three static variations. Ad Radar's clone-to-my-brand feature is still on the roadmap.
- Store data: Shopify store traffic, growth and best sellers next to the ads.
- More AI clients: ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and Perplexity as well as Claude.
- The Chrome extension is live today. Ad Radar's is still being built.
Questions
Is Ad Radar a GetHookd alternative?
Yes, if you want a filtered board instead of a large library: only Meta ads with an estimated spend of $50k or more, each with ten tags. It doesn't have GetHookd's store data or static ad cloning.
Which is cheaper?
GetHookd starts lower: $29 a month, or $19 billed yearly. Ad Radar Membership is $49 every 4 weeks at the launch price and includes the MCP server; on GetHookd, AI access starts on Team at $79 a month or on yearly billing. Ad Radar bills every 4 weeks, so that is 13 charges a year.
Why does Ad Radar estimate spend when GetHookd doesn't?
Because the estimate is what lets Ad Radar show only ads with real money behind them. It is modeled on engagement, labeled as an estimate, and meant for ranking ads against each other, not for auditing a competitor's books.
Do both cover only Meta?
Yes. Both cover Facebook and Instagram ads from the Meta Ad Library. Ad Radar has TikTok on its roadmap.
Can I use either tool inside Claude?
Yes. GetHookd connects to Claude and other assistants on Team and Agency, or on yearly plans. Ad Radar's MCP server is included in Membership and works in Claude Code and Claude Desktop.
Does Ad Radar make ad creatives?
Not today. It turns a winning ad into a brief, in the app or in Claude. Clone to my brand, Open in Canva and Figma, and a brand kit are on the roadmap.
