Minea vs Ad Radar: product research or ad research
Minea bundles three jobs: finding a product to sell, spying on the stores that sell it, and reading their ads. Its homepage calls it "the most comprehensive e-commerce product search tool" and says it is trusted by over 200,000 dropshippers. The question it answers is "what should I sell?"
Ad Radar answers the next question: "which ad should I make for it?" It doesn't track products, stores, suppliers or prices. It tracks the Meta ads of DTC brands, estimates each ad's spend from how its engagement grows over time, and keeps only ads at $50k or more. On the October 9, 2026 snapshot that was 2,443 ads from 749 brands, with a median estimated spend of about $223K. The figure is labeled as an estimate: use it to rank ads against each other, not to audit a competitor's books. The methodology page explains how the board is built.
So the two tools overlap only on Meta ads, and even there they differ. Minea gives you a very large database to dig through for products. Ad Radar gives you a short list of ads that have already had real money behind them.
What Minea does well
According to its pricing page, every plan includes the products and shops listing with a brand tracker, notifications and daily niche lists. Premium makes products, shops and the brand tracker unlimited. Business removes the caps on AI ad analysis, AI transcripts and magic search. The page says Minea covers all Facebook ads and influencer product placements, and analyzes more than 10 million ads; the homepage puts it at 80M+ active ads with 120k+ ad and shop updates a day.
On platforms, the pricing page lists Snapchat, Pinterest and TikTok ads as coming soon, while other pages on Minea's site offer a TikTok ad spy and TikTok Shop product research. Either way, Minea reaches further than Meta, and Ad Radar doesn't.
What Ad Radar does instead
Every ad on the board is tagged on ten dimensions: hook pattern, hook mechanism, narrative angle, reader awareness, proof level, production format, video type, landing page type, niche and CTA type. You can ask for problem-aware UGC ads for a device that send traffic to a dedicated landing page and get a list back, not a feed to scroll.
Search covers headlines, body copy and video transcripts in one box, without a monthly count. You can follow any brand by pasting its Meta Ad Library link, get a Today briefing of what changed and an alert when an ad turns into a winner, and save ads with the Chrome extension, free to install and included with an Ad Radar membership. The MCP server lets Claude search the board and turn a winner into a brief for your product. See how the MCP server works.
How winning product ads sell on Meta
Product tools show you what is selling. A winning-ads board shows how the winners sell it. Out of the 2,443 ads on the October 9 snapshot, 579 sell a physical product other than a supplement or a skincare topical:
| Product type | Ads | Median est. spend | Top tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device | 219 | $234K | 11% |
| Apparel | 176 | $198K | 11% |
| Gear | 98 | $227K | 13% |
| Home good | 86 | $247K | 14% |
"Top tier" means the best 10% of the board by winner score. Three findings matter if you come from dropshipping:
- Devices rarely go to the product page. Of 165 device ads with a landing page tag, 116 send traffic to a dedicated landing page and only 35 to a standard product page. More in product page vs landing page.
- Marketplace listings don't make the top tier. None of the 106 winning ads that send traffic to a marketplace listing reaches it. Ads that look like a brand beat product-only ads; see dropshipping ads in 2026.
- Variants signal a winner. Ads with 4 to 9 variants have a median estimated spend of $528K, three times the $177K of single-version ads. See winning products from ads.
Minea pricing and free trial
Minea Starter is $49 a month, or $39 a month paid quarterly. Premium is $99 ($79 quarterly) and Business $199 ($158 quarterly). Starter includes 10 AI ad analyses, 10 AI transcripts and 50 magic searches a month; Premium raises those to 50, 50 and 100. Minea's site invites you to try it for free, but its pricing page doesn't say how long a trial lasts or what it includes.
Ad Radar Membership is $49 every 4 weeks at the launch price (list $99), with one seat; that is $637 over a year of 13 charges. Minea Starter costs $588 a year paid monthly, or $468 paid quarterly, so Minea is the cheaper entry point. What the extra buys on Ad Radar is the spend filter, ten-way tagging, uncapped transcript search and the MCP server.
Where Minea is better
- Product research. If you don't have a product yet, Minea is built to find one. Ad Radar isn't.
- Store and shop data. Minea shows the shops behind the products and lets you track them.
- More than Meta. Influencer placements, TikTok Shop products and a TikTok ad spy, with more ad networks listed as coming soon. Ad Radar covers Meta only for now.
- A bigger database. If you want to see everything, not only proven ads, Minea covers far more ground.
- Lower entry price. $39 a month paid quarterly, plus a free .Store domain.

Questions
Is Ad Radar a Minea alternative?

Does Minea cover TikTok ads?
Minea's pricing page lists Facebook ads and influencer product placements as included and Snapchat, Pinterest and TikTok ads as coming soon. Its site also has a TikTok ad spy page and TikTok Shop product research. Ad Radar covers Meta only, with TikTok on the roadmap.
Is Ad Radar good for dropshipping?
It is good for one step: once you have a product, it shows how the brands with real budgets sell similar products on Meta, by hook, angle, format and landing page. It won't find the product for you or show supplier prices. For that step, Minea is built for the job.
Which is cheaper, Minea or Ad Radar?
Minea Starter is $49 a month, or $39 a month paid quarterly. Ad Radar Membership is $49 every 4 weeks at the launch price, 13 charges a year. Over a year Minea Starter is cheaper, but its AI analysis and transcripts are capped; Ad Radar's transcript search and Claude MCP server are included.
Does Ad Radar have a Chrome extension?
Yes. Install it from the Chrome Web Store, connect it to your account and save any ad straight from the Meta Ad Library into your boards. You can also follow a brand by pasting its Meta Ad Library link.
